Ken Eto, known in the Chicago criminal underworld as Tokyo Joe, operated an extensive multi-million dollar gambling ring. Eventually he would survive a mafia sanctioned hit including three gunshots to the head -- an event that would turn him against the Chicago Mob and convince him to help take it down.
